I met this family at an even bigger family session over the summer. We took family pictures for their parents and I remember and loved their family so much. Their little boy was hilarious and I still laugh remembering him “looking for dinosaurs” and jumping when his dad made a dinosaur noise, scaring the daylights out of him! It was such a treat to be able to photograph just them. I love this family and love that I was able to get to know their kids better. Being able to capture kids and their personalities is my #1 favorite thing about family sessions. Nothing is better!
This session was such a fun and sweet one. My parents knew the Shurtleff’s when they all went to BYU together and I had the blessing of getting to know their daughter’s and son-in-law when we all went to BYU together. And I also was able to babysit for the grandbaby for a few months. It is so crazy how friendships can last generations. And I am so honored to have been able to take a few family pictures for these beauties. And it was honestly one of the most hilarious and fun family sessions ever!
I LOVE FALL! But not nearly as much as I love this little family. I was able to take Teiva’s newborns almost a year ago and was so excited to take his first family photos almost one year later! He is the cutest and happiest baby! We had some trouble making him smile, but luckily he didn’t hold out all of his cute little smiles on us. Peek some of this beautiful families pictures!
Family sessions are some of my favorite. With kids, it’s so easy to play, but with adults it’s even more fun to have them play with each other and just be kids again with their siblings! I’ve had the honor of taking many photos for Telli and Sam. Sam’s family came up from Mexico to watch him graduate last summer and I was able to take their photos then, and then the whole family came together for baby Ezra’s baby blessing and I had the honor of capturing them all. We had one baby blow out, but I would do it all over again for them! I love these families too much! And their babies and grandbabies!
Honestly this family became one of my favorite families ever within minutes of meeting all of them. There was just something that clicked right away. I had so much fun getting to talk to the adults and trying to get the kids to look at the camera. I know families, especially with this many young children, can quickly get out of hand, but honestly we just laughed through all the mishap and encouraged the kids to be them. I love getting the kids to twirl, “not smile” and play around for their pictures. Kids should be kids. And watching these kids look for dinosaurs, blow bubbles, and play tag with their uncles during the shoot made this my favorite family session to date!
